Customer Requirements...
1. In order for a customer to take advantage of our services customer MUST have a valid Operating System loaded on the computer(s) to be repaired. We may ask you for your OS disk or look for your License sticker which should be located somewhere on the computer case, or in the OS instruction booklet on older systems. If we determine that the system is not in compliance we will be unable to assist you until a legal OS has been installed on your system. On site repair fees will still apply.
2. In order to be eligable for on site service, customer must be a business or home customer located in either Austin, Colorado, Fayette, or Washington County in the state of Texas. - Otherwise computer must be brought to our office in New Ulm.
3. Contracts for Network Customers will need to have their systems evaluated before price quote can be presented.
No estimates will be given out for any system which has not been evaluated.
4. As of July 2005 Nova Computers no longer supports windows 3.1/95/98/Me/2000/NT or DOS based systems.
Please note that as of August of 2014 We will no longer support Windows Xp Home, Pro, or Media Center.
Please make every effort to get your system upgraded before then. Call us if you need assistance with your upgrade.
5. DELL users - Users will have to order needed parts directly from Dell.
(Only installation and troubleshooting services are available through us.)
6. Apple users - Nova Computers does not support any Apple products at this time.
7. Droid users - Nova Computers will assist you with applications on your Droid Tablet if it was purchased from us.
Rates...
The basic on site service charge is $199.00. This includes our transportation to and from your location within the counties of Austin, Colorado, Fayette and Washington, in the state of Texas. All other counties will require an additional fee depending on the distance from our office. This fee will only be charged at the time your service is completed. Nova does not charge by the hour, but by the line item. The basic on site fee covers the first item, each additional item is billed according to the information below. If a machine can not be repaired the minimum charge is $119.00 for on site evaluation, or $75.00 for in store evaluation.
On Site Service $199.00 + $75.00 for each additional item. (One item is included in the initial $199.00 service fee.)
Office Drop Off $99.00 + $75.00 for each additional item. (One item is included in the initial $99.00 service fee.)
Telephone Support $75.00/hr min 15 mins.
Remote Support System $49.95 + $1.25/min. (This option requires a site evaluation and Maintenance Contract. Broadband users can not use this service.)
Customers with a Maintenance Contract will save 15% on all Labor Charges for on site or drop off services. Parts are still billed at normal rates.
Virus Removal - Due to the ever increasing difficulty of removing some viruses, Nova Comptuers will begin charging by the hour for the removal of viruses. On top of the on site or drop off service charge we will charge a rate of $75.00/hr for the removal of all Viruses, Malware, Spyware, or other malicious softwares. Nova assumes no responsibility for the damages caused by these softwares, and can not guarantee that the software is completely removed or will not return. We suggest you purchase a good antivirus software and keep it up to date. In the left hand column of our website are some suggested repair options you might try yourself before bringing your system in for service. Use these at your own risk.
Site evaluation for software compliance - $119.00 - If you need to know if your systems will run a specific software package or if you meet the minimum requirements for a company. This fee covers up to 3 workstations.
Weekend - Holidays - After Hours Service - Additional Fees will apply. Please note we may not be available during these times.
Parts needed for the repairs are extra.
Texas State Sales Tax is charged for all labor.
PAYMENTS
Payments are due upon completion of the work. If payment can not be made at the time the work is performed customer will be billed via email or standard mail.
Customer has until the 30th of the month to pay the bill in full or any outstanding balance will incur a $50.00 LATE FEE. These late fees apply to any and all outstanding tickets the customer may have.
Cash and Checks are accepted. All returned checks will receive a $35.00 returned check fee.
Customers may be billed via PAYPAL. If you would like this option please let us know.
Full payment for equipment or systems which total $250.00 or more is required at time of order. Please allow 10-14 days for delivery.
